(Reagan, Ronald) Correspondence Signed By Secretary Or Autopen. Group of 11 typed letters sent between 1966 and 1986 to business executive Charles Broska. Three are on White House letterhead; one was sent three days (27 Mar. 1981) before President Reagan was shot (30 Mar.) A second one is dated 1 May 1981, just over a month after the assassination attempt, and says, in part: `Â…Your prayers, and the prayers of a generous nation, have been vital to my swift recovery. Despite recent events, Nancy and I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of warmth and affection from the American peopleÂ….` The third (11 June 1986) discusses `Our recent actions to counter and deter international terrorismÂ….` Four are on GovernorÂ’s Office letterhead : 17 Dec. 1971, 22 Dec. 1972, 14 Mar. 1973 (`Â…I will not run for the SenateÂ….`), and 15 Aug. 1974. Four are on `Ronald Reagan` letterhead: 8 & 30 Nov. 1966, 25 Feb 1975, and 28 June 1976 (`Â…confident that we can win both in Kansas CityÂ…and in the general electionÂ….` With four envelopes and a color 10x8` photo of President Reagan. This group is sold as is, solely as presidential memorabilia.
