REALISTIC REBORN BIRACIAL ETHNIC BABY BOY ARIK OOAK Welcome one of my newest baby creations, baby Arik. Born on April 26, 2010 Weight: 4# 6oz 22" Long (knees slightly bent) Baby Arik is a beautiful, biracial, loveable, and cuddly little boy. As you can see he is a very sleepy newborn baby that will snuggle right up with you. He is the kind of baby you can't stop looking at and want to cuddle. It's hard to put him down! He has very fine micro rooted premium soft baby black mohair with soft & delicate hand micro rooted eyelashes. He has realistic fine below the skin veining on his limbs. His nostrils were shaded for a more realistic look. He has creases in all the right places as babies do . Genesis heat paints were applied in many multiple layers giving him true to life skin tone. Arik has 3/4 arms and legs with finely manicured sealed toe and finger nails. His lips and nostrils were also sealed with a shine coat to give the appearance of a moist look. His soft cloth body is weighted with micro fine glass beads and polyfil giving him the movement of a real baby. His head, arms and legs move freely for carrying, cuddling, and posing. His head and body are very "floppy" and need to be supported just like newborn. Baby Arik was so fun photographing because he is so floppy. He really posed himself! He comfortably wears a size 0/3 months clothing. About The Artists My name is Kelly and I am the mother of 3 children. As a little girl, I always love baby dolls and always wanted a "real looking" baby, but could never find the perfect one. As a mom, my 10 year old daughter, Kerrie, wanted the same true to life looking baby. We looked into the art of reborning and decided we'd like to try it. Kerrie and I started reborning babies in July 2009 and have been working side by side. We share ideas and try new techniques together. It has turned into a great love and passion for both of us. Our time creating our babies is not only a great time for bonding as a mother and daughter but also as upcoming artists. Each baby created is truely a OOAK (one of a kind) creation. Creat ed with love and patience to acheive as much realism as we can. We both are excited when our new kits arrive. We love looking at the adorable little hands & feet and precious faces. Then the transformation begins from doll to baby. From giving our babies their first bath as pink parts, to painting, then putting them together and finally rooting the hair by hand. Each step is a true labor of love. We love dressing them up and posing them for their first baby pictures. We hope you enjoy our babies as much as we do creating them. He comes home with his striped onesie, hat, Winnie the Pooh pants, socks, yellow Poohbear pajamas, pacifier, diaper, personalized birth certificate, hospital band and baby blanket.
