My name is Rita Meese and I am a full time reborn artist. I have been making these sweet, realistic babies for many years and have adopted them to families all over the world. I take pride in each baby created here, and only the highest quality materials are used. It is my goal that each doll that leaves the nursery be an heirloom that can be handed down and enjoyed for generations. This auction is for one LaNewborn reborn doll You will choose gender, hair color, eye color, and skintone ( Peaches and cream or newborn mottled) These pictures are of dolls that I have done previously. These babies have already been adopted, but will give you a good idea of what your baby will look like. This is the last time these babies will be at this price due to increses in the cost of supplies and shipping. To achieve the most lifelike skintones, I use Genesis Heat Set Paints. I do not use pre-mixed paints, but prefer to mix my own color "pallette" to achieve the perfect skintone for each baby I create. This paint is applied in many thin layers to obtain a realistic complexion. The paint is actually baked into the vinyl, so it will never fade. Your baby will have subtle veining and blushing in all his/her creases and dimples. I will spend many hours to get the complexion just right. Your baby will have full limbs and a fully jointed soft flannel body. It will be stuffed with fiberfill and weighted in the head, body, and limbs for a very realistic feel. The head will need to be supported just like a real baby. Your baby will be so cuddly you won't want to put it down. Your baby's hair will be handrooted, a few strands at a time, with high quality mohair. The color choices will be pale blonde, golden blonde, brown, reddish brown, and dark brown. You may also choose to make this baby a little baldie ( these babies are adorable bald). This process will be done with a very small needle and is very time consuming, but the results are worth it!! The hair will be sealed inside with waterproof glue so that it may be gently wet and styled. I recommed a baby comb and brush and the use of baby hair conditioner. This hair looks so real, it appears to be growing right out of the scalp. Every attention to detail will be given to make you the baby of your dreams!! Your baby’s nose will be opened and backed with felt for added depth and realism. The eyebrows will been painted on in fine, delicate strokes. I will apply wispy human hair eyelashes to frame the eyes.Eye color choices will be dark newborn blue, water sapphire blue, dark brown, or dark green. Your baby will be given a manicure and pedicure for that just clipped baby look. The nails, as well as the mouth, will be glossed and sealed. The mouth will have a bit of a moist look. I take great pleasure in creating these beautiful, lifelike "Little Darlins". Each one of them finds a place in my heart as I watch them come to life. The truly comforting, joyful feeling that comes with holding a baby in your arms is a remarkable and blessed experience. Holding your new baby will bring back all those wonderful emotions. Your baby will come home wearing a nice, new, gender appropriate, sleeper and onesie. Christmas sleepers may be available. A magnetic or modified pacifier, hair accessories, and a diaper are also included. * magnets are very strong and should not be used around pacemakers. Please let me know if it needs to be removed * Your baby will be snuggled in a handcrocheted cocoon with matching hat for the trip to their new home home.
