My fascination for the albino gorilla started when I read the story of Snowflake. In 1967 local villagers in Africa’s Guinea captured a remarkable baby gorilla. The young male had a coat of pure white. This is History’s only known albino gorilla. Snowflake died Nov.24, 2003 of cancer, but his legacy remains. In his time at the zoo he fathered 21 gorillas, however none were albino. DETAILS AT A GLANCE CUSTOM DOE SUEDE BODY MANY LAYERS OF GENESIS HEAT SET PAINT MANICURED LITTLE FINGERS AND TOES MICRO-ROOTED, ONE OR TWO HAIRS AT A TIME WITH WHITE/CREAM MOHAIR LIMBS AND BODY ARE FILLED WITH GLASS BEADS AND POLYFILL FOR REALISM AND WEIGHT MAGNETIC PACIFIER (optional upon request) AND BELLY PLATE LIMITED EDITION SCULPT OUT OF 750 NO SAND Ming Tao is painted with many layers of Genesis heat set paint in shades of flesh/white as a true albino would have. He has subtle veining in the head and limbs. He also has mottled skin for added realism. His nose has been opened, shaded and backed with felt to add depth and realism. Ming Tao has blue/grey polyglass eyes. Magnetic pacifier can be added upon request. Ming Tao will be coming home with a brown and white monkey outfit with matching booties, a blue and white pajama outfit, white undershirt with cloth diaper and diaper pins, chest/belly plate, birth certificate, and care instructions. All other props shown are not included. Ming Tao's fingernails and toenails have been manicured with shades of pale yellow and slight purples tones in the cuticles as a real primate might have, then they are sealed. Each crease on his head, hands and feet have been carefully shaded and detailed. Ming Tao has been hand rooted using a 42 guage ultra thin needle, one or two hairs at a time using soft white/beige premium mohair. Paypal is the preferred method of payment.
