What's so exciting about Record World is it's an inside look at the 'battle plans', strategies - the hopes and dreams of the labels, management and artists unfolding just before the general public gets a whif of what was to come, as well as a copitulation, a telling of in many cases what had unfolded. There's so much information in each issue it essentially takes the mind on a trip on each and every page. And in so many instances, the ads are specific to Record World, not seen in the commercial general public magazines. It's great to see the images as you turn the pages of this back to the day magazine, but it is even more exciting to actually hold in your hands that moment in history.
