For auction is a majestic carved Prancing Horse, produced in 1996 and handcrafted in the USA by the Red Mill Manufacturing Company. This horse figurine is signed by well-known artist Pam T. Stoneburner, though due to the molding process, only the P and T and part of the last name are visible. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or repairs noted. It is from my private collection and from a smoke-free home. All three felt pads are still attached but the Red Mill sticker is not. This prancing horsemeasures approximately 12-1/4" long by 8-3/4" tall. It has a rich chocolate brown finish. The eyes have the original black paint on them and the mane is carved to have a wind-blown look, with much realistic detail in the face, legs and tail. T is a very light rubbed area (see photo) on the rear end above the right rear leg, but it is very small and hardly noticeable. The underside of the hooves w thehorseshoes would be have a couple of small rubs from normal wear of sitting on surfaces, but these are not visible from above. He looks really sharp and would be a great addition to any horse collection!Red Mill Manufacturing pieces were made of crushed pecan shells and resin. The factory in Fishersville, VA, closed its doors in 2001 afterthe death of one of the owners, and the molds were sold. That is why you now see repros under read more
