SALE! Show season is over for a few months and we'd like to clear out some plates to make room for new work. Hand made Redware charger by Erin Kettenburg of Pennsylvania. Large plate is 13 1/4" across the rim. This plate is entirely hand-built via the slab method as per most of the antiques, hand-rolled and shaped. Signed on the back by the artist. The entire plate has been very lightly antiqued to a warm, 'crazed' appearance as can be seen in the photo. Traditional sgraffito and colored decoration however this is not a lead overglaze. Copied from original work of David Spinner, Bucks County, PA ca. 1800-1810. A wonderful example of truly traditional, early American folk art. No two of these will ever be exactly alike! Checks or money orders welcome - sorry, no online payment or credit cards. Shipping will be ACTUAL shipping, based upon buyer's zip, USPS Priority Mail well-packed and fully insured. Please ask any questions prior to bidding - we respond promptly to all inquiries. Thanks!p.s. - We will gladly combine shipping on multiple plates; see all our listings.
