You are bidding on a beautifully refinished antique flat-top steamer trunk from the late 1800's! A truly unique find!! It is constructed of its original oak and tin, wooden tray, with 2 compartments for storage, a finger-hole on either side of the tray, and 4 mini-rollers on the bottom. The corner hardware, latches, and lock are all original. The lock states "Eagle Lock Company, Terryville, CT., patent dates: 6/13/1882, 12/06/1982. This beautiful trunk has been carefully refinished with minwax stain, 4 coats of Deft clear wood soft satin finish, all new cedar-lined base, and floral quilting on interior lid. The handles, on either side, and the straps running from the back, top and front that buckle from the bottom/front, have been restored with top quality leather. This trunk measures 31" long, 19" wide and 22 1/4" tall, and weighs 55 lbs., before shipping. Great for storing blankets, quilts, winter gear, memorabilia, etc. The tin shows some normal wear, which adds to its overall antique appeal. A wonderful addition to any home!
