Marilyn Monroe "Mint Condition" Relpo Head Vase # 2089 Made in Japan for Relpo, Chicago, Illinois This stunning Relpo Head Vase is recoginized immediately among collectors. Norma Jean Baker, a hometown girl, became one of Hollywood's most famous starlets known to the world as Marily Monroe. Born June 1, 1926 she would be 82 years of age this year. She was an alluring beauty that became the "Sex Goddess" of the 50's. A reputable model, she was dubbed the "photographers dream". This stunning head vase does a magnificient job of capturing Marilyn Monroes's alluring beauty. The piece has a beautiful satin like finish that exemplifies her red pouty lips, her beautiful wavy blonde hair and her sultry blue eyes. Measuring seven inches in height and five inches at the widest point she is undoubtedly a collectors prize. The pictures show very fine detail. The gold on her original pearl & gold earrings have tarnished over time. T is minor paint missing on the base (manufacturer's flaw). She has no chips, cracks or grazing. The original Relpo sticker is on the bottom as is the number 2089. This piece has never been on auction of any kind. She was given to me many years ago by my aunt, who I assume, obtained her in with a flower arrangement. She has been boxed and stored all this time.
