Remington R 1240 Musket Knife Large Single Blade Daddy Barlow Made by Remington UMC in the U.S.A. in 1993 MINT IN BOX - New Old Stock - From my Personal Collection / Inventory Never Used, Never Carried, Never Sharpened, Never Displayed. The Large Single Blade Daddy Barlow Pattern Knife Measures 5" Long closed and 9" Long when opened. The Musket-1 was the first in the Musket Knife Series and were originally made to commemorate the 200th Birthday of Eliphalet Remington, the founder of Remington Arms, or E. Remington & Sons as it was originally called. Some were sold in a presentation box, and the remainder were sold like this one, in a standard style Remington box. The knife has one Large Hand-Honed Razor Sharp 440c Stainless Steel Blade that is a Clip Point Style. It Measures 4" Long. It is Tang Stamped with the "REMINGTON UMC" encircled by "MADE IN U.S.A.", which is known as the 'Circle Remington' logo stamping, on the obverse and "MUSKET-1" on the reverse. The blade is also etched with the "REMINGTON TRADE MARK" logo. As a Daddy Barlow Pattern knife it features a single extra long Head Bolster. The Bolster is Polished Nickel and is Stamped on Both Sides with the "REMINGTON" logo. The Handle is Durable Delrin with Brown Bone coloring and a Rough Concentric Arc Pattern Texture.
