Up for auction is a three piece set of cut wood. The intended use is for replacement of damaged grille wood on Atwater Kent model 165 sets, frequenly referred to as "lacewood" due to the pattern of the cut, but you may use them for whatever you like. They are cut from 3/32 of an inch thick basswood and are unfinished. The pieces shown in the first picture below are the actual ones you are bidding on. The cabinet is not included. I have had so many of these Atwater Kent cathedral sets in need of help and they all have a common denominator: broken grille wood. Finally I sat down with a set of verniers, drew the print up in AutoCAD, and cut some out on a small CNC router. I saw one problem, though. They were perfect. Too perfect. Way too perfect. The flawless geometry from the precision cad drawing left them looking sterile, as if they were molded.
