Reproduction Chinese export porcelain ship mug.The typical cylinder shape porcelain mug with a famille rose border with a small green border below and with a famille rose dot wave border with small sprays of flowers below. The front with an American ship rigged and flying American flags with Scturdury Night ? written above. The lower edge with a blue triangle and line border. Additional floral sprays on the sides and with crossed fluted strap handle attached at the side with famille rose leaves and blue berries. The underside unglazed and with a gilt mark of Reeves / Washington / And Lee / University / Collection in a gilt circle and Limoges, France / 1975.In very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The usual and expecting potting and painting flaws.Measures 5 1/8" high, 4 1/8" diameter at top rim plus handle.Please take a look at my other auctions and store listings.
