Restored Antique English Bible printed by Eyre and Spottiswood - "Printers to the Queen's most Excellent Majesty." A special opportunity to purchase a piece of English History. There is no actual date of printing This would make a fantastic gift for someone or a superb way to celebrate/mark an anniversary at a Church. All proceeds from the sale of this item support Access Christian Media , a UK registered charity. The Bible is inscribed with "Translated out of the original tongues: and with the former translations diligently compared and revised, by His Majesty's special command." The spine has been skilfully r epaired and re-labelled, as shown in the photo, by a bookbinder of over 30 years of experience. . The pages are in remarkable good condition. There is a little spotting on the front fly leaves which would be expected for a book of this age, the other pages are clean. The dimensions/weight of the book are as follows: Length : 29 cm (11.3"), Width : 23 cm (9"), Thickness : 7 cm (2.5"), Weight : 3.625 Kg Local pick up is welcomed as is cash on collection.
