Stunning 1960s Vico Magistretti “Carimate” Chairs for Cassina Rare matching set of 8 in beautiful Vintage Condition Up for auction is this stunning and extremely rare set of 1960s Vico Magistretti “Carimate” Chairs finished in rich red/orange stained ash frame with original natural rush seats. Hailed as one of the masters of modern Italian design, Vico Magistretti's work includes a dazzling array of architecture, furniture and everyday objects. This rare matching set of 8 dining chairs comprises 6 no. standard chairs and 2 no. carver chairs. Purchased in 1968 by the previous and original owner these beautiful chairs are from a smoke and pet free home. All chairs are solid and all joints are tight and intact. There are some light cosmetic signs of age related wear including some light scuff marks to the legs, some light wear to the stain and varnish finish and some minor wear to some of the original rush seat bases. These do nothing to detract from the beauty of these superb chairs. We simply love these chairs and think that they will look stunning in any contemporary home - we hope you agree!
