Reuge Swiss 5Cylinder Music Box - Strauss Vienna Waltzes Being offered is ‘The Johann Strauss Waltzes of Old Vienna Music Box’ crafted of rosewood and mahogany, inlaid with five different woods and fitted with a solid brass musical movement crafted by Reuge of Switzerland. Produced as a Limited Edition item by Franklin Mint in 1988 this high quality 50 note music box has five interchangeable cylinders which in total play extracts from ten Strauss waltzes. In addition to the delicate fine quality sound the music box is complimented by the fine inlay of the cabinet and having a high gloss finish. Internally the underside of the lid is fitted with a mirror and a framed glass internal lid covering the movement and cylinders. Condition: The musical movement is in good working order, the cabinet has some very minor scuff marks with a small graze on the underside of the lid. Whilst the cylinder bodies do have areas of tarnishing (see pic) this is purely cosmetic and has no effect on the sound quality. Measures approximately 40cm long x 11cm high x 16cm wide.
