Very rare Revell plastic Model kit #H1812 issued in 1958. Contains one Little John tactical rocket on launcher with three crew figures, as well as one Dart anti-tank missile on launcher, three Dart missiles on stands, optical guidance system, and three crew figures. Comes with original decals and two instruction sheets. Parts have been inventoried, and they are all there. Box is in good to very good condition, with one small crease and some scuffing from shelf wear on the corners. Developed in the 1950s by Redstone Arsenal, Emerson Electric, and Hercules Powder, Little John was an unguided tactical rocket (MGR-3A) used primarily by the 101st Airborne in the early '60s. It had a short service life. Dart (SSM-A-23) was the first anti-tank missile to reach evaluation status in the US and was developed in the early to mid '50s. Dart was wire-guided and built by the Aerophysics Development Corp., a subsidiary of Curtiss-Wright. Development was terminated in 1958 when the simpler, less cumbersome Nord SS 10 and SS 11 missiles became available from France.
