The central arms here were engraved on wood by Reynolds Stone in about 1950, whereas the inscription B.B.C. Music Library is typeset. Stone produced a great number and range of calligraphic and other bookplates and book labels, almost all (except in his last years) to a very high standard, continuing and improving on the work of Eric Gill.
