This gorgeous oval shaped ribbed brass container has a matching tray. It measures apx 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" and the tray 7 3/4" x 6 1/4"It is tarnished and has a lot of character, however can easily be polished to shine as shown in the 3rd photo where you can see the contrast where I have polished it. I left it this way so you will have a choice of finish.It is in excellent vintage condition, marked Made in India. I cannot find any dents or damage. The top of the container is hinged and there are lion head handles on each side with a finial on the top. Inside is clean and much more shiny. The container and the tray are marked 153.
