Fine impressionist rendering of riders on a hunt. Painting is an oil sketch on canvas. Measures 8 x 6"; with frame, "9.5 x 7.5". Painting is in excellent condition; frame is new. Painting is not signed on front; verso, "R. Baldwin". Estimate age to be mid-century or so. On May 3 William A. Bunch Auctions in Chadds Ford PA sold " the living estate archive of work comprised of hundreds of works by Richard W. Baldwin, an illustration and commercial artist who was the first art director and Senior Sculptor for the Franklin Mint . The collection featured Western theme, fashion, genre, and action illustration and local landscapes. Richard Baldwin is listed in artprice and . Auction records to $2750. Lovely paintings and a fine addition to any collection.
