Here is a gorgeous antique pin made by the USA company Riker Brothers! It is made of 14 karat yellow gold and has a three striped pattern of turquoise enamel and genuine seed pearls on the front. It is shaped like a horizontal figure eight, or two marquises end to end - or a stylized bow. There is NO missing enamel! All pearls are original. The Riker Brothers used the symbol stamped on the back in the gold, which reads "14K" with an "R" and a sword. William Riker opened his first shop in New Jersey in 1846. His sons continued the firm at various venues in New Jersey, and finally, William, Jr. moved the firm to Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1926, where it remained until the 1940's. This brooch is just under two inches wide and it is 3/8ths inch tall. It has the older safety clasp which was used between the 1890's and 1910 (according to "How to be a Jewelry Detective", page 95). The pin weighs 4 grams. It is in excellent vintage condition. FREE Shipping and a gift box included!
