Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner; with Ten Engravings on Copper and with a foreword by David Jones. Chilmark Press, New York City 1964. With a 5-page Foreword by the illustrator; this item aslo comes with ephemera including a 4-page illustrated original prospectus, and a second printed essay titled "The Making of a Book" (describing the book's conception and printing.) Blue cloth binding, spine w/ gilt lettering; large format, approximately 10 x 12 inches. 315 total copies of this edition were printed. This copy is hand-noted to be "out of series" on the colophon, with the initials "D.C." written adjacent. The book is in wonderful, Fine condition overall, with the cloth covers unmarred and the pages tight and bright. The slipcase is near fine with some light rubbing to edges and corners.Additional photographs are available upon request.Buyers outside the US will be responsible for shipping costs on this item.
