EXCELLENT CONDITION.The fascinating story of Colorado's Rio Grande Southern Railroad has been chronicled by many publishers, but none have done so more thoroughly than in an 11 volume series by Sundance Publications, of which this is the fourth volume.This first edition example is in excellent condition. It is NOT signed or numbered. The pages are crisp, clean, like new. The plastic jacket cover is in very good condition, but may benefit from a good wipe-down (I've removed shelf dust). The binding is in new condition. All corners are straight and without dents.This volume covers the high bridges on the 3.0-percent grade above Ophir all the way to Lizard Head Pass and down to Rico with extensive drawings, photographs and maps. Included are the snowsheds, wye and structures at Lizard Head, mile-by-mile 1919 Right-of-Way track maps and the scenic wonders at Matterhorn, Trout Lake and Gallagher. This volume includes 356 black-and-white photos and 94 full-color pictures in 496 pages.
