This is a great looking Ripley Finger Lamp as shown in Thuro Book I pg 184 and Book III pg 85j. It is 5 " tall to the top of the collar. The burner is a No. 1 Eagle type attached to the original brass collar. The lamp does not have any cracks or cloudiness but it has a few straw marks and the usual scattered air bubbles and t The wording around the base of the lamp clearly reads "RIPLEY & CO. PAT JAN 7, JULY 14, AUG 11,1868". The glass has some real interesting specks of metal actually imbedded in the glass from the mfg. process. It glows the expected yellow/green under a black light. This fine example of early lighting would be a nice addition to any collection. Please email me if you have any questions. Thank you for looking.
