I too own one of these Rival antique apple peelers and I was so frustrated with my old blade that I got together with a custom metal machine shop and I had a few blades produced from 410 stainless steel - the same steel that would be used for making a kitchen knife. Thisblade will greatly improve your Rival apple peeler performance. Most are rusted and well worn out andnot worth repairing.Please see the photos you will seethe original blade and the new blade. You will receive one brand new blade that changes off with a couple of screws. Get the use out of that old peeler finally!! It is a fantastic machine when it works properly...These blades are stainless steel and were proudly made in the USA in Upstate New York.
