This is one of Rivarossi's later red box versions of their heavy 2-8-2 Mikado. It has the smaller flanges on all wheels allowing it to operate reliably on code 100, 83 and 70 track. It also has the motor located in the firebox so they could add boiler backhead detail in the cab - something else the older versions lacked because the motor took up all of the cab space. This is an undecorated model with a long Vanderbuilt tender and air pumps mounted on the smokebox giving it quite a hefty look. Add decals for your favorite railroad and she'll be ready to roll. Included in the box is the original paperwork and parts bag with the handrails for the back of the cab and brakeshoes for the drivers if one cares to add them. This unit has been test run only and is in excellent condition.Its a great looking engine but it is time to thin out my collection.Check out my other listings - I will gladly combine shipping on multiple wins.I will ship to North and South America and Europe.
