This is a BRAND NEW material from China called Fire Mountain Rhyolite. It is similar to Rainforest Jasper (which is actually a type of Rhyolite) in that it contains tons of intergrown Agate thundereggs of various sizes cemented together by Rhyolite. The biggest differences are that this has some larger thundereggs and it has more color than Rainforest. Some have brilliant red scattered around and are quite striking. Some have great agte and sagenite inclusions. The material takes a high polish and is excellent for all lapidary applications. This is a very cool new material OFFERED AT A GREAT PRICE.
