Limited edition black and white aviation art print The Road to the Rhine signed in pencil by BILL MAYNARD, ED SHAMES and artist ROBERT TAYLOR . This is the Pencil Edition . This is a print of the original concept drawing of The Road to the Rhine . Operation Market Garden started on September 17, 1944. Shown are C-47 Dakota's of the 439th Troup Carrier Group dropping the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions 150 miles behind enemy lines into northern Holland. The goal was a series of key bridges, the capture of which would secure the road the Rhine River - and a route into the heart of Germany. The photos do not do this print justice. Overall print size is approximately 22.25 by 16 inches. This is the Pencil Edition signed by two (2) Easy Company veterans. This edition was limited to just 300 signed and numbered prints. The COA is included. Print condition is excellent, never framed and stored flat in acid-free materials.
