Color illustrations | 119 pp. | 9 & 1/2" high x 6 & 1/2" wide First edition, later printing. CONDITION: Very good in a good dust jacket. Hardcover bound in orange cloth with James' face blindstamped to cover. Price-clipped dust jacket shows various defects including chipping, tears, soiling, sun toning. DJ is housed in a mylar protecitve sleeve. Some spotting to fore edge. Binding is tight and firm, no splitting or loose pages. Boards are slightly cocked. Covers are clean with some sun lightening to top edge. Corners are crisp and square. Interior contents are free of defects. No smudges, no writing or underlining, no creases or tears, all images present. Clean and bright within. This is a first edition, later state. There is no statement of printing on copyright page other than 1961. 4 line colophon instead of 5 on last page states bound by The Book Press, not Wolff Press. ISBN number on back of DJ. Orange cloth panels with orange-red topstain. Last book listed on the last page under About The Author lists "and the new and exciting Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator". Charlie and the great Glass elevator was released Jan. 2, 1971 so this would indicate that this was printed in late 1970 or early 1971. Please view read more
