Robert W Amick The Bounding Main Sail Boat Print 1950s Description: This is a very large framed print from the 1950s era. Measures 40" wide and 30" high. Weight is 9 pounds.Condition is very nice with a very light scratch in the sky area and a 1/2" scratch in the right center.I have been a collector of Amick's works for years and hard to find them. This print is mounted on heavyboard with no glass and is in the period frame it was sold in.I will work with the buyer to ship the item economically and well packaged. Robert Amick (ROBERT WESLEY AMICK 1879-1970). was born in Canon City, Colorado amidst cowboys, prospectors and Indians. He studied law at Yale and practiced law for two years before becoming an artist. He became an illustrator of Western subjects, painter, printmaker, commercial artist and teacher. His paintings of landscapes, horses and western life became so popular that several were printed for the public school system. He grew up in the Colorado cattle country during the 1880s amidst cowboys, Ute and Sioux Indians, homesteaders, and prospectors.
