Hi... This auction is for a set of Wax Sealed Jars from the mid 1800s, from Philadelphia, PA. The Qt. jar is just over 6 inches high, and the Pt. jar is just under 5 inches. The set is in excellent condition. T is a very tiny chip mark on the outside rim of the Pt. jar (see photo), but otherwise it is perfect. The Qt. jar has a small chip on the inner rim, and a smaller chip on the bottom base, as well as some hairlines, but they seem to have been present before the item was glazed. The Pt. jar is stamped "ROBERT ARTHUR'S PATENT 3RD JANUARY, 1855 ARTHUR, BURNHAM & GILROY PHILADELPHIA, PA". Outside of what I've mentioned t are no chips, cracks or other flaws that aren't part of the original creation of the item (before it was glazed). A really neat set, in excellent condition...
