Robert Held's Meadow Line Large Heart Paperweight! Robert Held's Heart paperweight is absolutely stunning!! Beautiful translucent glass that is accented with a bouquet of spring flowers. It measures 2 3/8" long, is 2 7/8" wide, and 1 1/8" tall. This paperweight is new, first quality, signed Held, and includes a small leaflet. A truly wonderful addition to any art glass collection or the perfect gift!See my other listings for more great items! This piece began simply by gathering 2000 degree molten glass onto the end of a "blowpipe". Decoration with colored glass made using minerals such as copper, cobalt or gold were applied using techniques developed as long ago as 2000 B.C. Robert's unique designs are created with these colors as the glass is both mouth blown and hand formed into its final shape. After being gradually annealed, the glass is ground, polished and signed.
