Robert Moses [1888 1981] was the ''master builder''of mid-20th century New York, Long Island, Rockland County, and Westchester County, New York. As the shaper of a modern city his decisions favoring highways over public transit helped create the modern suburbs of Long Island and he influenced a generation of engineers, architects and urban planners. Listed for auction is the autograph of Robert Moses signed on a commemorative cover. The cover commemorates the ''Worlds Fair Postage Stamp'' and is signed ''R Moses'' in blue fountain pen. The cover is postmarked Worlds Fair N.Y, Apr 22, 1964, and is affixed with one U.S Worlds Fair five cent postage stamp. The cover measures 6.50 x 3.50 inches and is fine condition. The autograph is authentic, uncommon to obtain and the cover is a very nice example of this prominent architect and builder.
