's a collection of six nice old knives made by Robeson. All are in nice condition and none have been cleaned. is a detail of each starting at the top: 1) Grand Daddy Barlow, Robeson's famous Strawberry bone handles. Closed it is 5" with the blade at 4". The blade has been sharpened but no one grond it. It probably has 95%+ of its mass remaining. The stamping is ROBESON / SHUREDGE / U.S.A. and on the other side is 512224. The blade snaps strongly both ways. The handle is nice jigger Strawberry bone. No cracks or missing pieces but t is a little roughness near the bare end, also t is a round divit on one side naerby the end. It isn't through to the liner. Still very handsome. The bolsters are German silver and are nice. A nice big knife made by a fairly obscure maker. 2) Three blade stockman Art Deco knife. I have been buying knives for almot 3 decades and this is only the second one of these I have seen. Length closed is 4". The blades are 3",2 1/8", 1 15/16". The blades have some sharpeneing, the largest has the most but still nice. The stamping is one the large blade is ROBESON / CUTLERY / USA. No pattern number. All blades snap both ways. The handles are an interesting Art Deco design. The metal looks to be aluminum or an alloy. No damage. A rare pattern. 3) A "pat applied for" two blade knife with a wood handle (Ebony? ) bordered by aluminum/alloy or silver. Length closed is 3 3/16". The blades are 1 13/16" and 1 9/16". Both blades are nice with some 3 small dark spots on the larger blade. Both snap nicely both ways. The stamping is ROBESON / SHUREDGE / ROCHESTER . It also has a PAT APL stamp on the same blade. I think this may be for the handle design. The handles are nice and show no damage. A rare Pat Applied for knife. 4) A Dr.'s knife, 2 blades with the logo in the handle. It is 3" closed with the blades at 2 3/8" and 1 9/16". The stamping is on the large blade is: ROBESON / SHUREDGE / U.S.A. and the number 622195 on the other side. Both blades are nice and both were probably edge sharpened. The large one snaps nicely and the smaller one is a little slow but it was dry so 'll try to oil it and see. The handle is nice and shows no chips, cracks or damage. A fairly rare pattern and made by Robeson. 5) A two blade with a POCKETEZE shield. It si 2 7/8" closed with the blades at 1 9/16" and 1 1/4". Both blades close nicely both ways, the small one is a bit soft on the close but I'll try some oil too. The stamping is : ROBESON / SHUREDGE / ROCHESTER with the number of 422 / 421. Both blades have been used and sharpened, the larger blade more than the other. The handle is a yellow French Ivory as you can see the grain with a 10x. A nice old knife. 6) Two blade with French Ivory handles. It is 2 3/4" closed with the blades at 1 5/8" and 1 5/16". Both blades snap nicely both ways. Both look like they may not have been sharpened but they do have some old dark rust spots. The stamping are ROBESON / SHUREDGE / USA and the number 42264 on the other side of the large blade. The handles are nice, French Ivory, and show no damage. A nice old knife. Six old Robeson knives, including one Pat Applied for, that would compliment any collection.
