Up for auction here is a nice tall round embossed slug plate pint sized milk bottle from the Rockland Dairy of Ellicott City, MD Maryland (Howard County). This dairy was owned and operated by Mr. Charles E. Hobson through the 30s and then the property was sold off. This dairy farm is believed to have been where the Hollifield Station Elementry School is now or somewhere right around that area. That area of Ellicott City is known as Rockland. The bottle is embossed in a slugplate on the front ROCKLAND DAIRY - C. E. HOBSON -ELLICOTT CITY, MD. The bottle has a great looking ribbed/birdcage design covering the whole bottle except the plate. This bottle was made by the Thatcher Manufacturing Glass Company and the date is 1936. This bottle is in good condition with only a small bruise towards the heel/base area as shown in the pictures. It has barely any caseware at all. There are no chips or cracks. It is also very clean. Please feel free to ask any questions and check out my other items. Good luck bidding!!!
