Roland D2 - Groovebox / MIDI Sequencer / Synthesizer & Sound ModuleThe Roland D2 can be a Drum Machine, a Synthesizer, a Sound Module, and full featured Sequencer with D-Field control all at the same time.The synth engine is a gem - it is in fact the same as the MC-505, and can be edited just as deeply via MIDI / sysex; with a full set of dedicated Reverb / Delay / Master Effects available as icing on the cake.It's range of possibilities for Sequencing and Live Performance Control over other gear via the D-Beam interface (same controller as on the V-Synth) is perhaps the real star of the show, allowing MIDI information to be manipulated in real time.This allows for some highly experimental compositions where parts or patterns can be interchanged on the fly, as well as vinyl simulation effects such as turntable wind down.You will need to read the manual on this one, as it is a deceptively deep and capable instrument that could even be the centerpiece of a hardware studio - despite it looking like an orange flavored Starburst:)All gear is carefully packed to ensure a safe journey, a signature may be required for delivery.
