Up for auction is this legendary Roland TR-808 in excellent condition with original manual and annotated protective plastic fascia sheet. Cosmetically this model is in incredible condition for it's age. It still has the annotated plastic sheet over the fascia and I suspect it has always been on it. As such the fascia is free from marks, scratches and much of the general wear it would otherwise have. All knobs are present complete with colour caps and similarly it has all the original buttons and all the step buttons are level and even. The metal case has no signs of scratches or oxidation, just a few very small marks here and there. The end caps are also in excellent condition. Being picky it has a tiny scratch on the inside left plastic end cap where it meets the metal case but you'd never really see it. The underside is equally in excellent condition, no scratches on the base, a few small marks in the plastic but complete with battery cover and even the plastic over the serial number plate. No batteries have been left in the machine since I owned it and there is no sign of any previous leaked batteries in the compartment. Functionally, everything seems to work great. I've owned this for around 4 years and used it periodically for loops. All the steps buttons work well without having to repeatedly push them or hit them. The pots read more
