The frame started out as a one year only 1968 Rollfast 20" kids Tandem bike. I then removed the rear crank and made one chain out of two to span the length. Front headtube was cut and raked to match the seat post tube angle giving it parallel lines across. The front fork is a 40's vintage Monark dual spring spriger fork. This fork alone is worth $150. The crank and sprocket is from a 1972 Manta-Ray and drives a generic 20 x 1.75 rear wheel on a vintage Columbia Disc brake hub and Shimano 5 speed cluster. The shifter was NOS before i put it in the bike and is tfore just like new. The handle bars are from a Schwinn Run-a-Bout giving the reach a little extra rise. The seat was NOS before I installed it and gives the proper back support to allow the bike to be ridden like a recumbent. Gearing is perfect in first gear for going slow and high enough in fifth gear to really get the speed up. The geometry of the front end is such that t is no front wheel rollover and thus rides so nicely. The sissy bar was homemade to fit and support my 220 pound frame. Rear wheel has a Paragon read more
