T was only a couple thousand people present on the 12th.... We Traveled almost 275 miles one way to attend this event...We Brought back rolls released by the mint at this unique ceremony w the mint allowed us to obtain a small quantity of these freshly struck 1 st Day Of Issue ROLLS by the box full...ONLY a few of us thought about going to the Hodgenville KY Post office to purchase a lincoln stamp to put on each roll then had the USPS CANCEL each roll...very awesome...Makes these VERY RARE!!! Only a small number of us went to the post office to get them postmarked with a Lincoln stamp on it.
