As-found, non-artist signed, 1889 Rookwood standard glaze 466 C small bulb console bowl on three squatty tab feet stamped W for white clay is decorated with Holly Leaves and Berries. The bowl interior has a long horizontal base crack w/two small connecting hairlines, a rim chip w/attached vertical hairline and profuse glaze crazing. There is also a small under-rim, glaze-only rim flake not noticeable from the top. All but the tiny rim flake are photo-visible. As this bowl was used, you can expect inner bowl dirt & water soiling, mostly within the concealed inner reaches of the bowl. Standard glaze bulb bowls from this timeframe appear to be uncommon. Researching this small bulb bowl shape yielded scant information on this style form. For a inexpensive shelf piece representative of this bowl shape from 1889, this is a nice addition for your antique Rookwood art pottery collection. Dimensions: 2"H x 6¼" dia., with a 4-5/16" bowl opening. Buyer pays FedEx SmartPost s/h/i, with free tracking. Due to across the board increases, a $2. handling fee has been added to this purchase. Max. domestic local & coast-to-coast s/h will range from $7.16 to $11.10 on this 3lb. pkg. Although you may request a payment total through eBay channels, PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I SEND YOU AN INVOICE STATING ALL CHARGES BEFORE PAYING. Payment is expected within 3 days. read more
