This Is a Rookwood # 7075 High Glaze Production Vase. The vase has an overall striking blue high gloss finish. It is 7 1/2 inches tall and features a geometric design created by impressed darker lines of the blue glaze. The vase was manufactured by the Rookwood Pottery Company of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1956. Since this is a production vase it was produced in other years in this and other colors. It is marked on the bottom with the Rookwood Fourteen Flame logo, LVI denoting the year1956 of manufacture and the shape number 7075. Also the name ROOKWOOD, Cinti, O. appears under the 7075. There is an interesting discussion of the pieces with the CINCINNATI mark in the book "Rookwood Pottery the Glaze Lines" by Anita J. Ellis at page 216. The vase is in excellent condition and I can find no crazing, chips, cracks or mold flaws. This is one of the finest production pieces I have ever seen produced by Rookwood. I work very hard to correctly describe everything I sell but I am not perfect. I not only check the item, it is checked by a second person.
