Rookwood Vase Circa 1902 Up for auction is an exceptional piece of early Rookwood! This lovely vase stands 4 1/2 inches tall and is a standard glaze. The base color is a deep rich brown the color of strong coffee. It is hand painted with leaves and some type of fruit. The glaze has a very high gloss and I struggled getting decent pictures because of all the reflected light. The hand painted design goes around 2/3rd's of the vase at the top. The inside of the vase is a lighter carmel color and is also a high gloss. The bottom is marked with the Rookwood symbol and date and also the number 914F. T is also what appears to be the artist's initials on the bottom which may be Sallie E. Coyne. This piece is dated 1902! This little vase is in excellent condition and a great find! No chips, cracks or repairs and no crazing. T are a couple of minute scratches on the glaze, but I don't believe this to be of any significance. What an awesome piece to enjoy for another 100 years or so!Please note: I do not end auctions early so that everyone can have an equal chance at bidding. Please do not request that I change my listing to a buy it now. My accepted payment methods and return policy are stated below.
