(H&J #569, OSC #260) This is an antique, rose colored, art glass, CHIPPENDALE individual salt, also called Lady Chippendale, produced by the English company, Davidson & Co, circa 1885! It is referenced as being "scarce". There are six daisy-covered panels below a wide scalloped rim. The bottom row of daisies extends below the bottom of the piece and form six "feet" on which tre salt sits. The six daisy panels are separated by six wide, raised ribs which wrap under the base. There are raised rays between the ribs (see photos 4,5 & 8). Very ornate, yet delicate-looking. As for issues, all I could find was a bit of extra mold flashing all along the inside of the rim that makes it feel a bit sharp. This is barely, if at all, noticeable being more felt than seen. I found no nips, flakes or chips, and no cracks. T his would be a classic addition to your collection.
