Auction is for an exquisite original gelatin photo of Rosemary Clooney circa 1940s or early 1950s. This photo has an inscription in the pop singer's own hand : "To Nancy, Tenderly, Rosemary Clooney." The inscription and autograph are original by Rosemary Clooney herself; they are not secretarial or printed as part of the photo. This photograph is the original gelatin from 40 or so years ago. It is not a copy, not a print, not a re-strike. The photo measures about 7.5" x 9" with no border margins. Please note that t is some soiling or water damage from storage. Photo shows very well in spite of these caveats -- the average person would say it is in good or better condition. T are no pinholes. To prevent copies , the scans below are slightly blurred and darkened. The image quality is exceptional -- much better clarity, tone and resolution than the scan. The watermark "for sale by Edge-Online" does not appear on the actual photo. This item was acquired from a larger estate collection of several hundreds signed photos. The items are original gelatin photos from the years 1920s-1960s. The previous owner was a war veteran who spent many years collecting photos signed by his favorite actors and starlets.
