This is an exquisite basket -- or lattice -- weave, Italian made, covered dish, wonderful if you love Italian ceramics or simply love roses.....it's simply beautiful from my mother's estate. We put "Capodimonte" (or "Capo Di Monte") in quotations since the mark on the bottom of the dish only says it's made in Bassano, Italy....although not labeled Capodimonte porcelain, it is made in that style. Dimensions are 5 3/4 inches in diameter on the top, 2 3/4 inches in diameter at the base, 3 3/8 inches deep (without the cover), and approximately 6 inches high with the cover on. Condition is truly excellent, with 2 tiny chips off the rose but otherwise flawless. It is handmade...thus the cover has to sit exactly right for a perfect fit. It is marked as follows: "DECORATO A MANO" (translation: Decorated by hand) and "BASSANO - ITALY".It's a really sweet piece -- for candy, business cards, or all by itself.....we hope you consider bidding on it.
