The Roseville Ixia pattern is considered a "middle period" line. The Ixia pattern was introduced in 1937, and is Art Deco in style. THE LISTED VASE: This is a great example of the Art Deco influence so popular for decorative items in the 1930's. This vase has Deco style pillars on either side. The color transitions from a mint green on the base and lower 1/3 of the vase to shades of pink over the upper 2/3's. It measures 8 1/4" high with a 3 5/8" diameter at the top opening. The base is oblong at 4 1/2" long and 3 1/4" wide. It weighs 1.4 pounds. It is interesting that in addition to the incised model number on the bottom, this vase also has a partial original gold foil Roseville sticker on one side of the vase. {Photograph # 3}. Typically, patterns that were incised with the model number did not have a sticker. It was usually either or. CONDITION: The vase is in good condition without any cracks, chips, or hairlines. There is light crazing seen under magnification. The last photograph was taken with a flash showing the inside.
