I remember how fascinated I was with this compass sitting on the dash of my Grandfather's FORD. He always had a FORD, he never had another make of car....ever. In fact, this was in his 1965 Galaxy when it was given to me in the early 1980's. Alas I do not have the car any longer and the new owner did not get the compass. Every turn it would bobble and move. I have checked it out and it does appear to 'point" pretty close to the correct direction. Smooth movement. On the bottom are two adjustments one marked N/S and the other E/W. I believe it is set for a small battery for nighttime viewing. The small button on the front has free movement. Over all in good condition, however the suction cup is way too still and brittle to use. This can easily be replaced. T is a slight break in the black plastic just above the ROTUNDA name plate. It sits 4 ½" tall as pictured. This is a true CLASSIC! We are always happy to answer any questions prior to bidding. Our Time to downsize...your gain!! Bid early - don't miss out!
