This is an antique Rouen Tinglazed Faience Pottery Cat or Lion Figurine from France. It is beautifully hand painted with bold colors of blue, green yellow and burnt orange flowers and leaves in the traditional Rouen style. It is marked Rouen 1684 #3. There are six holes on the back of the cat which I believe are candle holders. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or breaks of any kind. It measures 7 inches long by 3 1/2 inches high by 3 3/4" inches wide (from foot to tail in back).
