Old Country Roses Description Up for auction is a beautiful vintage set of Royal Albert china, in the stunning and popular Old Country Roses pattern. I have also added the "Buy It Now" option for those who may not be online when the auction ends. This gorgeous pattern consists of roses in stunning shades of red, pink and yellow, surrounded by green foliage. Each piece is fluted and scalloped for added beauty. The rim of each piece is covered in a thick gold dusting, giving this pattern a very unique finish. This set was purchased in the 70's and is marked with the Royal Albert Old Country Roses England 1962 backstamp that was used from 1973-1993, with some accessory pieces having the older original mark from 1962-1973. Many people are confused by the "1962" back stamp, which is a newer mark that was used from 1973 until 2003 when production ceased in England and is NOT the date that the piece was made, as many sellers claim. These are all first quality pieces with one possible exception listed below.
