Very pretty Royal Artillery solid silver miniature compact. The top features a silver Royal Artillery gun badge mounted on enamel depicting the red and blue Royal Artillery ribbon. It is stamped on the base with the words "Page Plymouth " and bears the hallmark of the Birmingham Assay Office 1931. Part of the hallmark is the stamp "P K & P". The lid is also hallmarked with a crown and the letter for 1931 "G". Th enamel is is excellent condition commensurate with age and the compact overall is in lovely condition. There is a very small dent in the side of the bottom. Inside the hinged compact is a mirror in the lid and there are still some remnants of face powder inside. The compact measures 5cm diameter and it is 1cm deep overall. A lovely piece. If you have any questions do please ask. It comes from a smoke free home. I wish you very !
