The story and history of the collection: T were 3 girlfriends in Orlando, Florida - friends since the 1930s. Mrs. Margaret King was the collector. They would scour estate sales and antique shops looking for Royal Bayreuth. Mrs. King was drawn to their vibrant colors, unique shapes and whimsy - she collected just for the sheer fun of it ! The very large collection - containing animals, fruits/vegetables, figurals and more - was proudly displayed in her specially built cabinet for decades and she lovingly referred to them as "The Royals".
